Investment Approach
The T. Rowe Price Blue Chip Portfolio Fund is a specialty stock portfolio investing primarily in stocks of large- and mid-size companies that are blue chip -this is, high-quality growth companies. The portfolio seeks long-term growth of capital; income is secondary.
Emphasis is on owning a diversified portfolio of companies that are well established in industries believed to be strategically poised for long-term growth. This portfolio's share price may fluctuate more than a portfolio investing in income-oriented stocks, but less than a
portfolio that invests primarily in faster-growing small companies.
